“there were no black people in the film brave”
“there were no fat people in the les mis film”
…………………………………………………………………..
Is it really too much to ask to have some people of color in a movie? Why is Brave all white? Because it’s set in Scotland? What, there were no nonwhite people living in Europe in ~medieval times? You white people sure get bent out of a shape when people criticize movies with all white casts. It’s almost kind of funny in addition to being really gross.
I’m not white, and I wasn’t butt hurt by there being a full white cast in brave/no fat people in les mis. In fact, it’s never really bothered me. I’m not ignorant, just look at historical periods. There really was no black people IN THE MIDDLE OF SCOTLAND when Brave took place. There were fat people in Les Mis….they were just the bourgeois class that the DEATHLY SKINNY people wanted to get rid of.
It’s not getting bent out of shape, it’s realizing that the characters in certain time periods need to be represented correctly. Why else do you only see white people in period ENGLISH films? Because there were only WHITE ENGLISH PEOPLE. So get off your butt hurt horse.
Congratulations for not being white? You are not a spokesperson for all nonwhite people, and what some people get “butt hurt” by differs. And expressing a legitimate concern over something does not mean a person is butt hurt. It means they’re using critical thinking, something you seem to lack. Only white English people, that’s a good one. And for the record, there were black people in Scotland. Maybe you’re the one who needs to look at historical periods.
Also, you should really examine why you had to respond in such a rude manner to a person you don’t even know. I am not the one.

” There are those who say fate is something beyond our command. That destiny is not our own, but I know better. Our fate lives within us, you only have to be brave enough to see it. “
